James B. Argue, Jr. President & Chief Executive Officer
Jim Argue, Jr. has served as the President of the Foundation since 1981. He’s a graduate of Hendrix College. Jim served in the Arkansas Legislature for 18 years, served as President Pro Tem of the state Senate and chaired the Committee on Education. He's the former chair of the Administrative Board of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church and is currently a member of the denomination's General Council on Finance and Administration. Jim and his wife, Elise, have two daughters, one granddaughter, and one grandson.
Janet Kernodle Marshall Vice President of Development
Janet Marshall began at the Foundation as Vice President of Development in 2001. Her professional nonprofit fundraising career started in Little Rock in 1992. Janet is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, a native of Wynne, Arkansas, and a life-long United Methodist. She is a past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Arkansas chapter; a past President of the Arkansas chapter, Baylor Alumni Association; a past President of the Central Arkansas-Baylor Women’s Network. Janet, her husband Matt and their sons, Garrison and Reece, are members of St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
Clarence E. Trice Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Clarence E. Trice joined the Foundation as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2009. Clarence is responsible for the Foundation's accounting, administrative, investment, probate, and trust activities. He is a CPA with more than 30 years experience performing and supervising audit, review, taxation, and advisory services. Clarence and his wife Kimberly are members of Highland Valley United Methodist Church in Little Rock. He has two grown sons, Trent and Matthew.
Rev. Mackey Yokem Grants Administrator
Mackey is a native of Little Rock and grew up in St. Luke United Methodist Church. He graduated from Hendrix College and received a Master of Theology degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. He retired in July 2016 after 43 years of active service as a United Methodist pastor. His appointments were to the local church, District Superintendent and Assistant to the Bishop and Director of Connectional Ministries, all in the Arkansas Annual Conference.
Mackey and his wife Cindy are the parents of four children, Erin Yokem Weber, Jenny Yokem Kyle, Grace Ann Yokem Depper, and Taylor Pearce Yokem. Mackey and Cindy are the grandparents of Abbott Caroline Kyle, Graham Bennett Kyle, John Mackey Weber, and Mattie Kathleen Weber.
Jenni Goodman Director of Accounting
Jenni Goodman joined the Foundation staff in September 2009. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jenni enjoys travelling, tennis, and is a member of the Greater Little Rock Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club and the Central High School PTSA. Jenni and her husband Rocky, along with her two sons Blake and Phillip, are members of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.
Kristin Hartman Account Manager
Kristin Hartman became UMFA’s Account Manager in May 2011. Kristin, a Little Rock native, graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies. She enjoys photography, painting and gardening in her spare time. She and her husband Shaun are proud parents of two sons, Coen and Arlo.
Katie Grant Holley Administrative Coordinator
Katie Holley joined the Foundation as Administrative Coordinator in April 2014. A native Arkansan, Katie graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations and Marketing. Outside of the Foundation, Katie can be found volunteering for the Little Rock Zoo and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She and her husband AJ enjoy hiking and camping.
