 These special gift arrangements can be very powerful tools for some donors. Gifts through a Life Income Agreement can:
- Provide substantial, immediate income tax benefits
- Increase a donor's current income
- Avoid capital gains taxes
- Provide for a gift to the Church
The Life Income gift provides lifetime income to one or more persons, and then at the death of the income beneficiaries, the remaining funds are used to further the Church's ministry as directed by the donor.
The Foundation can assist United Methodists in evaluating the use of Life Income gift plans, provide personalized proposals that illustrate a donor's unique circumstances, prepare trust documents for executions (without a fee), and serve as Trustee for the new fund.
There are various types of Life Income agreements. Some provide fixed, guaranteed income, others can offer a growing income amount. The Foundation can assist you in serving your own special needs.
