The service of the Foundation can free the local church staff from burdensome administration, provides professional management of endowment funds, and allows the donors or the church to direct the assets according to their preferences.
James B. Argue, Jr. President & Chief Executive OfficerJim Argue, Jr. has served as the President of the Foundation since 1981. He's a graduate of Hendrix College. Jim served in the Arkansas Legislature for 18 years and chaired the Senate's Committee on Education. He's the former chair of the Administrative Board of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church and is currently a member of the denomination's General Council on Finance and Administration. Jim and his wife, Elise, have two daughters.
Janet Kernodle Marshall Vice President of Development
Janet Marshall began at the Foundation as Vice President of Development in 2001. She has over 15 professional years in non-profit fundraising in Little Rock. Janet is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, a native of Wynne, Arkansas, and a life-long United Methodist. She and her husband Matt have two sons, and they are members of St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock. Clarence E. Trice Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Clarence E. Trice recently joined the Foundation as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Clarence is responsible for the Foundation’s accounting, administrative, investment, probate, and trust activities. He is a CPA with more than 20 years experience performing and supervising audit, review, taxation, and advisory services. Clarence and his wife, Nancy and their sons, Trent and Matthew are members of Trinity United Methodist Church in Little Rock Linda Orell Assistant Financial Officer
Linda Orell has been a member of the Foundation staff since 1986. Currently she works as the accountant for UMFA. Linda has two sons, Brian and Brad.
Jennifer Abston Accountant
Jenni Abston joined the Foundation staff as the Accountant in September 2009. A magna cum laude graduateof theUniversity of Arkansas at Fayetteville, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Abston is an active member of the PTA in the Little Rock School District and is an officer of the Greater Little Rock Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club. Jenni has two sons, Blake and Phillip.
Brenda Pagan Administrative Assistant
Brenda Pagan has served as administrative assistant for the Foundation since 2000. Prior to her work at the Foundation, she was an administrative assistant at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Little Rock. She has a daughter, Lauren, and is Mimi to two grandchildren, Kaylee and Skyler. Brenda is a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
William H. Webster Vice President William Webster began working at the Foundation in 1986. When he began, Bill brought 40 years experience from the banking field- trust department to the Foundation where he has assisted in estate planning, investment management and probate administration. Webster now works on special projects and estate matters. Bill was an Army pilot in WWII and completed his 25 year military career with the rank of Brigadier General. Bill and his wife of 66 years, Betty, have two children and one grandchild. They are members of St. Paul United Methodist Church where Bill is an active member of the choir.
