Our Mission
The mission of the United Methodist Foundation of Arkansas is to create and administer permanent charitable endowment funds to strengthen and expand United Methodist ministry in Arkansas.
Welcome to UMFA
For United Methodists, our faith and our finances are connected. Each of us makes a promise to support our church with our gifts. We observe that Jesus says more in the Gospels about how we use our money than about prayer. And we heed founder John Wesley’s advice to “earn all you can, save all you can, and give all you can.” The United Methodist Foundation of Arkansas helps us extend the connection between faith and finances even beyond our lifetimes.
To explore opportunities to build ministry through UMFA, contact James B. Argue, Jr. Helping people make a difference through planned giving is the role of Janet Kernodle Marshall. Helping local churches strengthen and expand their ministry through investments is the role of Roger K. Bryles.
Bishops’ Club members enable UMFA to provide free staff support and educational materials like brochures and gift planning estate proposals. Because of their generosity and foresight, the Church is strengthened and the Foundation realizes its potential as a resource for ministry.
The “Create Your Plan” Calculator allows you to create personal gift illustrations and tax calculations for a number of creative giving plans. It can help you determine how much income you can receive when you make a life income gift and value tax deductions.
